Single Review–The Enchantment (Kimberly Haynes)
It has been my pleasure to review a few singles released by Kimberly in the past and the most outstanding thing I have noticed in all those songs is the sincerity with which she creates them. It feels like she bares her soul for the listeners to hear its muse. Within those 5-6 minutes, she captures your whole being and takes you on a journey where she tells her story, shares the wisdom, and lets you contemplate on the experience before you return back to your normal state of being.
‘The Enchantment‘ is a powerful experience recounting the beauty of this journey through carefully chosen words and a tempo that allows you to mull over them to transpose that experience into your own life.
Kimberly Haynes has worked with M. B. Gordy and Vito Gregoli to produce the song while Todd Boston has helped her to mix it. As Kimberly herself points out and dedicates the song to her late husband, Brian, you would notice the tonal quality of her voice is filled with gratitude and love for him.
The song opens with a chant of ‘Sita Ram‘ and slowly moves to express admiration for the beauty.
“Your beauty shines so clear…“
The relaxed and balanced tempo on the large duff by Gordy allows you to let go of your mind while you dive deep into the meaning of the words. The mysticism is enhanced by the crystal bowls so intricately integrated into it by Jeralyn Glass.
One can easily slip into relaxation mode while the rejuvenation happens through the sonic quality of this song, and there is a sense of warmth and gratitude around oneself when the song ends.
Apart from the musical excellence that you can notice and admire in the song, what touched me most is the sense of personalization that I felt when I heard it–it felt close to my heart!
If you are looking for a song that could make you open your heart to beauty and gratitude, ‘The Enchantment‘ would be one to look out for. I congratulate Kimberly and the whole team for doing such wonderful work and wish them a lot of success with the song. May people feel the same intent and sincerity with which it is created!
