Single Review–Un Me Too by Samir Bodhi
Samir Bodhi has always trodden an unconventional path while choosing the type of songs he wants to produce–his earlier albums have been something truly unique, and understandably very well received by the audience. However, this year, it seems, he has decided to really pack a punch in his composition. The song “Un-Me Too” is powerful ode to the Me-Too movement, that shook the whole world. The tremors were felt in every nook and corner of the world, and there were hardly any walk of life that did not have voices, unheard till then, coming out and showing their wounds.
The song truly strikes a chord with anyone who’s felt the sting of injustice behind the glitz and glamor of the entertainment industry, and any other industry for that matter, because the trauma is independent of the source–it is there. Samir dives deep into the heart-wrenching experiences of women exploited in the shadows of fame, turning personal pain into a rallying cry for reversing the hurt.
In this world, a lot of things can be reversed but how will you bring back the innocence and pride of a being once exploitation has spread its poison!
Mirroring the global impact, the song gets artists from around the world–the lyrics are both in English and Hindi. The music starts giving a sense of something really big and impactful and ventures into capturing the poignancy of the experience when Pt. Rakesh Chaurasia intersperses it with his flute.

Right from the start, the song sets a somber yet defiant tone. Sounding like an anthem, a minimalistic yet impactful arrangement allows the lyrics to shine. There’s an emotional weight that is felt in the voices of both Justine Blazer and Madhumita Chatterjee–encapsulating the vulnerability and strength of those who have endured exploitation.
Lyrically, the song is both a lament and a battle cry. It doesn’t shy away from detailing the grim realities faced by many women but also empowers them by echoing their collective call for restoring what they have lost.
“Un-Me Too” is going to challenge a lot of people, and stands out as a tribute to resilience and a call to action, encouraging solidarity and courage in the face of adversity.
Wishing Samir and the whole team a great reception!
